History
LIVE Publishing Company was begun in 1980 by a group of concerned and dedicated writers, editors and investors, who felt the time had come to focus people’s attentions on the shared resources, strengths and challenges of Northern Ohio as a region, with specific coverage of the arts, entertainment, dining and lifestyles scenes in the area. The vehicle for this coverage was Northern Ohio LIVE Magazine; originally a biweekly publication, the magazine is now produced monthly and circulated to some 35,000 households, offices and institutions in a 12-county region that includes the cities of Cleveland, Akron, Canton and Youngstown.

Editorial Mission
Northern Ohio Live is a monthly guide to the best in the region. The magazine identifies the people, events and initiatives that make this a lively and satisfying place to live. It honors our rich diversity of ethnicity and lifestyles, celebrates creativity in all its forms and takes time to recognize excellence. It seeks not only to delight and entertain, but to attract the region’s best writing on everything from the arts and dining out to key social and human issues.
